The District Is always working to improve system reliability and capacity. As our community grows the Dover & Foxcroft Water District must grow with it. Here are a few current projects to keep an eye out for.
WEST MAIN STREET WATER MAIN REPLACEMENT PROJECT
The Dover and Foxcroft Water District identified the West Main Street Water Main Replacement Project as a priority project during the development of its 2022 Conceptual Capital Improvement Plan. This project was identified as a primary critical asset for upgrade consideration. The District decided to invest in preliminary engineering and submitted applications to state and federal funding agencies in 2023. The following year the District was awarded a 20% grant opportunity through the MDWP and in 2025 was awarded a 1 million dollar match grant opportunity from the Northern Boarders Regional Commission. The project was placed out to bid the following winter, and Gordon Construction was chosen to complete the project.
